You were not made to be subtle, so why should your body be? For those of you who need a little FYI on this Sunday, there is an Instagram post going viral of a husband’s letter to his curvy wife. He is praising her body, curves and “cute little fat rolls”, and also praising men who love curvy women.

|| I love this woman and her curvy body. As a teenager, I was often teased by my friends for my attraction to girls on the thicker side, ones who were shorter and curvier, girls that the average (basic) bro might refer to as "chubby" or even "fat." Then, as I became a man and started to educate myself on issues such as feminism and how the media marginalizes women by portraying a very narrow and very specific standard of beauty (thin, tall, lean) I realized how many men have bought into that lie. For me, there is nothing sexier than this woman right here: thick thighs, big booty, cute little side roll, etc. Her shape and size won't be the one featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan but it's the one featured in my life and in my heart. There's nothing sexier to me than a woman who is both curvy and confident; this gorgeous girl I married fills out every inch of her jeans and is still the most beautiful one in the room. Guys, rethink what society has told you that you should desire. A real woman is not a porn star or a bikini mannequin or a movie character. She's real. She has beautiful stretch marks on her hips and cute little dimples on her booty. Girls, don't ever fool yourself by thinking you have to fit a certain mold to be loved and appreciated. Now, when I first read it I thought the same thing as most people: “Aw that’s sweet.” Not really anything more. But as I thought about it more, and as stated in the following article, they are not the heroes. Here’s the counter article on why being a man who is attracted to something other than below a size four doesn’t make you special, heroic, or brave.

It makes you a freakin’ human. It makes you normal.

You're probably wondering what I'm doing here just as much as I am, so here goes nothing. I am a 20 year old girl from Southeastern PA, who somehow wound up as a broadcast journalism major at Marist College because "the future Bachelorette" wasn't a "suitable career path" (Thanks Mom and Dad). Since all I've heard since starting my major at family gatherings is "you need to start a blog!", here I am.   1. I’d be tempted to do an article on why I love my man despite what society says about loving a man who is egotistical, insensitive and actually isn’t ashamed to advertise his total lack of real “manhood.” Just sayin….
