Ends up on Diplo’s Instagram.
With the stress/social happenings that mark the end of the school year, on top of graduation and job searches, I thought it was important to set aside a time to talk about this very important event and moment in time. I’m drowning in stress but Game of Thrones is blowing my mind, and the star of it stole my husband.
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are officially MARRIED, which officially marks the end of an era. All of the Jonas Brothers are off the market.

It’s fine. I’m fine. I’m over him. I was #TeamNick, anyway. Everything is fine. I’M FINE.
Before we recap the impromptu-yet totally star-studded and glamorous ceremony-let’s just take a second to address the important moment in history and media we are living in. Television is at an all-time high. I won’t give any spoilers to my crap givers who are not caught up on Game of Thrones, but it’s straight up blowing my mind. There has never been a show that has combined so many elements of action, cinematic experience, visual effects, and thorough story line so effortlessly and intensely. Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones was not just a mid-season episode, it was a defining generational moment, especially for millennials.
And if none of those elements convince you to catch up on #GOT, do it for Emilia Clarke’s costumes, arguably my favorite part of Sunday’s episode.

But what crap-givers know holds my attention the longest–no matter how big or small–let’s talk about this wedding.
After the Billboard Music Awards on May 1. in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the Jonas Brothers performed “Sucker”, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner marched to a Vegas chapel where they…#GOT MARRIED! In tow, they brought Joe’s brothers Kevin and Nick, Diplo to commemorate, Dan + Shay to sing them down the aisle, an Elvis impersonator to seal the deal, and countless others with camera phones.
The bride wore a trendy white pant-suit and veil and the groom a gray suit. In Sophie Turner fashion, they exchanged ring pops (which you can see them lick before they exchange on Diplo’s Instagram story) and made it official.

While it may have been a real wedding, I am not the only pop-culture fan who is still waiting for the big sha-bang. Earlier this year, Jonas told James Corden that fans could expect a “summer wedding” with flag football and rugby games.
While they certainly can’t top Nick’s 3+ weddings to Priyanka Chopra (still not over it), they can certainly try, and oh-how-I wish they would. Turner and Jonas were both child stars, with Jonas finding fame with the Jonas Brothers when he was just fifteen, and Turner landing the role of Sansa Stark at just age thirteen. Marriage seems to be the new thing to do this past year, since we’ve also seen the marriages of fellow child stars including Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.
While I’ll never be able to wrap my head around the fact that all three Jonas Brothers are off the market, let’s just hope that Sansa Stark finally found herself the right husband.
