An evolving dream is still a dream nonetheless. Ever since my first Cinderella wedding gown and plastic heels I have had a genuine love for bridal gowns and weddings. My affinity for wedding gowns and everything that goes with them has not tarnished in my 21 years, despite countless slaps to reality that even if I come to afford this dream, there is still the possibility that it will never happen.
However, it’s the uncertainty that will make the reality sweeter. Most people exercise, take up a hobby, or learn something new in the spare time. I look at weddings. Whether it’s on Pinterest, online, or scouring this week’s people, I am up to date on each and every celebrity wedding.
Summer is the most popular time for weddings. Everyone loves pink in June or an evening September outdoor reception. The stars are no exception. The best celebrity weddings happen in the summer, and here are my top ten favorites of this, last, and past.
10. Pippa Middleton and James Matthews June 2017

When your sister is the Duchess of Cambridge and you’re a Middleton, you keep it traditional, but not without your own graceful style.
9. Emma Rosenzweig and Tal Rosenzweig June 2018

And for this Danish IT Girl, tradition is for the traditional. “Getting married is a deeply private thing that you do in front of a lot of people,” she said to Vogue. “This is why I needed a hat that combined the feeling of hiding and sharing generosity at the same time.”
8. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West May 2014

*Kanye 2007 VMA voice* Kim Kardashian had the prettiest dress of all time, OF ALL TIME.
7. Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl June 2014

Timeless elegance combined with a fun modernity makes this one of my favorite bridal looks.
6. Victoria and David Beckham July 1999

They’re a typical power couple, and their July 4th wedding set that tone. With everything from frosted tips to purple accents, this wedding was outrageous and glamorous. Victoria’s $100,000 Vera Wang dress screamed “Victoria Beckham” before she was Victoria Beckham.
5. Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles July 1981

Although we all know how this supposed to be fairytale crumbled, Diana was the epitome of “princess” in this extremely ’80s gown. However, it is the tiara that puts this wedding on the map for me.
4. George and Amal Clooney September 2014

Her Alexander McQueen gown was nothing short of a masterpiece, but it was the Venetian wedding festivities and all of the bride’s wedding weekend looks that I dream about.
3. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt August 2014

First comes love, then comes six kids, then comes marriage and divorce. Conventional isn’t the first word choice.
2. Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle May 2018

Her Givenchy masterpiece is EXACTLY what I had hoped to see Meghan Markle in as I woke up at 6:30 A.M. to watch the festivities live. But it was her Stella McCartney number and Diana’s aquamarine ring that added the nontraditional flare.

1. Carolyn Bessette and John F. Kennedy Jr. September 1996

If I could recreate this exact look for my wedding, I would. I always say I am doing white simplicity, or not wearing white at all. If this messy bun, gloves, and Narciso Rodriguez silk dress isn’t ultimate goals, I don’t know what ever will be.
