Ladies, if you had a new pair of Chanel boots, would you let your friend wear them to the bar on Friday night? Hell no, it’s dirty, crowded, they could get scuffed and then the world would just be over.
You have a pair of your grandmothers diamond earrings that have been passed down for generations. You wouldn’t give the to any one but yourself wear them let alone borrow them. They could get lost.
Would you let a novice driver take a spin in your Mercedes Benz? No. They could crash it.
There are a lot of expensive things in this world, but few are considered priceless. One of the rare and priceless things, in my opinion, is your heart.
Love is the most beautiful, powerful thing on this earth. It’s sometimes what gets us through the day. It’s what creates families, lives, memories and joy. Your heart is nothing to give to just anyone.
So if love is priceless, why do we give the most precious thing in the world, our hearts, to anyone other then ourselves? Just like we wouldn’t loan the boots, why would you trust anyone with something so fragile and important?
If you only have one heart, why do we give anyone other than ourselves the power to break it?
