Just finished four classes. Two presentations. Finals coming up. Crucial interview in 45 minutes. Wired on coffee. I can only think of one thing.

How the hell do some girls not own hairspray??????????

I’m trying to look professional for this interview in a tight bun, and I’ve run out of hairspray. I can usually make it last, but this one is down to the wire and I’m desperate. I ask my roommate to borrow hers. SHE HAS NONE.

My mind immediately explodes. I hadn’t prepared for this situation. I hadn’t prepared for the absolute worst. I’m rocking purple lipstick, if my hair doesn’t look intact, it will throw the entire look off. Even one flyaway, and I’ve blown this interview. HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE HAIRSPRAY?

What keeps your hair in a ballerina bun? A top knot? HIGH PONY? BEACHY WAVES??? As a female, what essentially keeps your life together? Have I been getting by entirely wrong the past two decades? To me, not owning hairspray is like not wearing underwear. You can get by, but at the end of the day, it’s just not going to work.

These are just my 4pm on a Tuesday thoughts.
